Keep the collection you built

Your folders. A better way to browse.

Connect local folders, external drives, or an SMB share. ShowShark indexes your media where it lives and makes it easy to find.

A library with context

Movie posters, seasons and episodes, cast, ratings, album artwork, and lyrics bring your collection together. Search titles and filenames, or discover something by genre or mood.

Music and photos belong here, too

Browse artists and albums, open photo folders and iCloud Photos, or create slideshows that include videos. Keep playlists, favorites, and history across your devices.

From the living room to the road

Choose how you watch.

Keep the quality.

Use Original playback for compatible files, including direct playback and remuxing. Keep 4K, supported HDR, and supported surround sound in your home theater.

Adaptive playback uses your Mac to convert media and adjust the stream to your connection. Hardware transcoding is included.

Take it with you.

Built-in remote access connects your devices without router port forwarding. Download videos and music for flights, road trips, and places without reliable internet.

Resume where you stopped, navigate chapters, use scrub previews, and select audio tracks or subtitles.

Share the collection.

Give each person a profile with their own history and playlists. Use PINs, ratings, and folder restrictions to control access. Invite devices or watch together in a watch party.

Make your own channels

Schedule video, music, and photo channels from your library. Turn playlists into programming and browse what is on.

Bring your sources together

YouTube subscriptions and live video, podcasts, Internet Radio, IPTV, and ONVIF/RTSP cameras sit alongside your personal media.

Give every file a place

Browse mixed folders and digitized Blu-ray BDMV collections. Use embedded subtitles, nearby subtitle files, or external subtitle search.

Keep the Server in order

Automatic scans, maintenance, basic validation, activity reports, and personal notifications help you keep track of your library.

Broad everyday compatibility

Modern files. Older favorites.

Home includes H.264, HEVC, AV1, older MPEG and DivX video, DV, and ordinary Motion JPEG. MOV, MKV, MP4, AVI, lossless music, and supported film audio remain part of Home.

For BRAW, R3D, ProRes, MXF, native S3 or Dropbox access, and technical inspection, choose Studio. A MOV file’s codec determines which edition it needs.
